Frills

I am not really a fan of fussy details in clothing so frills isn't usually my thing but when I randomly found this skirt at home I was surprised how much I liked it.  Worn with a simple jumper and trainers its an easy outfit for a spring day.

I am wearing M&S jumper, skirt found in my loft, DIY bag, TOPSHOP trainers and PRIMARK sunglasses.

Styled With Glamour Wears... White Midi

Oops a second monochrome outfit in a row, what can I say it is still my go to colour combo. A bit more of a chilled look today with flat sandals and a tshirt. This skirt has been my project of today, it started this morning as my nans size 18 almost maxi skirt and is now my much more flattering split midi. I still need to create a bit of a lining for it as it is rather sheer but I am pleased with the (almost) end result. This skirt shape is one of my favourite designs, having already made it once before here back in April. Although this time was more of an alteration than making it from scratch, it fills the white skirt shaped whole in my wardrobe.

I also wanted to mention I got a new blog header, woo finally...I have been wanting one for a long time so got my talented uncle to create one for me and I really do love it, the cool font and star is much more me, so big thanks to my uncle :)

I am wearing MISS SELFRIDGE leather jacket, TOPMAN tshirt, DIY skirt, PARFOIS bag and NEXT sandals.

Styled With Glamour Wears... Off the Shoulder

Another monochrome outfit you are probably thinking but I can't deny I am still in a bit of a colour phobic phase so is probably one of my personal favourite combinations. Another of my favourite trends at the moment is off the shoulder tops, there is just something so feminine about showing off the collarbone area.
I paired my floaty top with peg leg trousers to balance out the fabric on top and finished off with my rather beautiful but to be honest not the comfiest heels. I bought the heels for my prom not that long ago and I knew they wouldn't quite last me the whole night but I couldn't resist them anyway :)

I am wearing TOPSHOP top, ASOS trousers and heels, DIY bag and POPWATCH watch.

Styled With Glamour Wears... Lace Up Jeans

I've been looking for some jeans with lace up sides ever since I saw the Isabel Marant for H&M leather trousers which were just a bit too far out of my price range, so when I saw these in Zara the other day I grabbed them straight away and almost ran to the till. Paired with this super cosy jumper, it is still quite cold here and my favourite heels.

FRENCH CONNECTION jumper, ZARA jeans, NEW LOOK shoes and VINTAGE bag

Dior Inspired Skirt

Every girl loves designer clothing but with my saturday job wage its all a bit of a dream having a wardrobe full of designer labels. So taking inspiration from the catwalks is the best thing right now and is almost more fun. This skirt created by me and my gran is inspired by this Dior skirt from their A/W 13 ready to wear collection. I saw the skirt in Vogue and after showing my gran we designed our own version which she knitted for me. I am so pleased with the outcome it is beautifully stitched and even better super warm for winter!

I am wearing M&S jumper bought in charity shop, DIY skirt, PRIMARK ankle boots and MISS SELFRIDGE fedora.

Easy Friday Look

Super easy friday look- overcoat, slouchy tee and leather mini. The perfect combo and would look great with trainers or converse for those rushing about days. Finished of course with a hint of leopard print. Have a good weekend!

I am wearing H&M overcoat and skirt, NEW LOOK tee and sandals and PARFOIS bag.

Pretty Dress with Sporty Trainers

This dress is one of those items which has been sitting in my wardrobe for a couple of months having only worn it once mainly because I haven't really known what to wear it with. I was wanting to casual it down yet modernise it because I think it generally has a more formal look to it. So I thought for a simple summers day what's better than pairing it with a pair of trainers which does both those things. I can't believe how much use I have had out of these trainers since I bought them, I would never have thought they would become such a staple in my wardrobe.
You are probably thinking why an earth is there a picture of your ear Jade but I just wanted to show you my new piercing. I got it a few weeks ago which is why I am still wearing a stud and I absolutely love it! I cannot wait to play around with different types of earrings and studs when I can change them and of course now I have the excuse to do some more shopping!

I am wearing vintage dress from Beyond Retro, Carvela trainers, sunglasses from Spitalfield market and earrings from accessorize.

Dropped Waist

Another beautiful hot day which is really helping make the last day of school bearable. It is sports day tomorrow so for those non sporty people like me that means a day of sun bathing and watching others compete. However I am taking part in the egg and spoon race and tug of war just for a bit of fun!

This is what I wore to school today, when I wear my skater skirt I tend not to tuck tops in as I prefer the more relaxed dropped waist silhouette more related to the twenties to the womanly hourglass fifties silhouette. The boxy cut of this top is perfect for this and cuts off so skims my hips and allows the skirts to flare out still underneath. And I just need to mention these heels, perfect midi heel for daytime and a beautiful summery pink shade.
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine!

I am wearing charity shop top, Topshop skater skirt and sunglasses and Zara heels.

Working a Crop

Working a crop top here which is a bit different for me as I don't usually like to show my stomach. I wasn't going to go too cropped though so a high waisted skirt ensured only a slither of skin is on show. This was a really easy outfit to throw on this morning but I still felt rather elegant.
You might have noticed I have changed my parting recently to the centre which I have wanted to do for ages but by fringe was too short so looked like curtains when I tried! I still want my hair to get longer but I am glad it's getting to a style I am happier with.

I am wearing River Island striped top and flatforms, vintage skirt, Republic bag and Fenwick sunglasses.

I love these shorts at the moment the print and fit is perfect and they are so easy to wear. Hope you have a great week, praying the sunshine stays with us!

I am wearing H&M shorts, Zara top, Dorothy Perkins ballet pumps, Fenwick Sunglasses and Vintage necklace.
