Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore!

(Picture from Somerset House website)
Its been so long since my last post, damn dark evenings stopping me from being able to take outfit pictures when I get home from school. So not an outfit post but the Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! exhibition. Last Thursday I went up to the Central Saint Martins open day so rather than waste the rest of the day in London I went to the exhibition at Somerset House. If I'm honest I wasn't overly familiar with Isabella Blow before the exhibition but I so wish I had been she seemed like an amazing lady. And a truly unique lady as well, I cannot think of someone who supports and encourages upcoming designers like she did with Alexander McQueen and Phillip Treacy. The exhibition as well as telling the story of her career showed the story of McQueen and Treacy and how she helped them grow and emerge as successful designers, featuring plenty of their beautiful designs including garments from the collection they designed together in her memory along side a constant loop of the whole collection show. It was such a good exhibition I really suggest going to see it if you get the chance.

Styled With Glamour Wears... The Knitted Jumper

Another knitted creation my amazing gran created for me. I have so much respect for knitting as a skill, to be able to create all these different patterns and designs out of a simple ball of wool is amazing, I think it is about time I picked up the knitting needles for myself again. We based the design on a zara jumper I had seen which featured the beautiful stitch that makes up the front of this jumper. And a plus is because it is knitted in aran it is so so warm. Paired with my peg leg trousers which smarten the look and are a nice change from jeans. I thought I might just briefly mention my hair, I had a few inches off to even out the length and get rid of my layers creating the blunt finish I wanted.
Thanks for reading.

I am wearing Jumper knitted by my gran, ASOS trousers and NEW LOOK heels.

Styled With Glamour wears... The Beanie

Happy Sunday, hope you've had a good weekend. I have had quite a quiet one but as I wasn't working today I went down to the seaside for a change of scenery. Wearing black jeans and leather jacket this is a go to outfit mixing in grey and pink, two of my favourite colours. The temperature is certainly dropping here though so the beanie hat had to make an appearance, keeping me nice and warm while matching my bag perfectly.
There are a few more photos here than I would usually post but we used my uncle's Canon camera so the pictures came out so much better and we finally managed to achieve the blurred background effect I have wanted for so long. I think it is time to save up for a new camera. What do you think of the photos?

I am wearing MISS SELFRIDGE leather jacket, M&S jumper (bought in charity shop), TOPSHOP jeans, ZARA shoes, RIVER ISLAND beanie and VINTAGE bag
