The Nightshirt

Everyone keeps describing this dress as a nightshirt but this is what makes it so great, the style of a shirt dress and comfort of pyjamas all in one. I can feel it will be worn on repeat all summer.

I have also recently got Instagram so feel free to check it out here, I am hoping to use it to show more of my fashion design work which is my true passion as well as illustrations too. I can feel myself getting addicted following Dazed and ID as well as designers I love like Marques'Almeida and Christopher Raeburn all mixed up with the adorable images of cats and dogs I can find :)
Have a fabulous weekend...

I am wearing TOPSHOP shirt dress, DR DENIM jeans, MISS SELFRIDGE shoes, FIORELLI bag and PRIMARK sunglasses.

Frills

I am not really a fan of fussy details in clothing so frills isn't usually my thing but when I randomly found this skirt at home I was surprised how much I liked it.  Worn with a simple jumper and trainers its an easy outfit for a spring day.

I am wearing M&S jumper, skirt found in my loft, DIY bag, TOPSHOP trainers and PRIMARK sunglasses.

Grey Skies

A grey outfit for a grey day...
I don't really enjoy playing with colour in my outfits, I prefer playing with textures and fabrics. Like here where I have mixed suit-like trousers with soft knitwear and leather.

Posting on here has been a bit irregular recently, still juggling my foundation course, portfolio's and interviews at the moment, but its nearly over, just one to go now- eek- then its decisions on where to go next year. I am thinking of doing a post or two soon more on my work and designs rather than just outfits, so see you with some new things soon.

I am wearing MISS SELFRIDGE jacket, WAREHOUSE jumper, ASOS trousers and shoes.

Clompy Shoes

I still have a little bit of love for 'ugly' shoes so these I think are a little bit perfect, a little clompy and beautifully shiny. Hope you are having a lovely weekend...

I am wearing M&S jumper, DIYed vintage skirt, MISS SELFRIDGE hat, TAMARIS shoes and DIY bag.

Little Bit Cold Outside

My christmas skirt is back in a more casual set up with long layers and a cosy scarf. As you can probably see it was rather cold when we took these so really I need a big warm coat. The wonderful sacrifices of fashion though.

I am wearing MANGO jumper and scarf, TOPSHOP skirt, MISS SELFRIDGE shoes and DIY bag.

Snake Boots

Another simple everyday outfit, this time a black and could be oatmeal, could be beige, combination, showing off my new boots. I love their snake print and are so easy to wear to liven up an outfit. What's even better they were £15, which as a student, is a fab bargain. This will have to be short, I have a portfolio to finish and an interview tomorrow (eek), see you soon...

I am wearing ZARA jumper, TOPSHOP jumpsuit and bag and M&S boots.

Oversized

Its been so long, I have had a bit of a crazy month so took a little bit of a blog holiday, but I am back now and have planned some posts so it won't be so long again.

Back with a little bit of a comfort look, oversized and loose. I read today the best way to pair culottes is with a fitted top and heels realising I was sitting reading it wearing the exact opposite. But I like comfort so an oversized and extremely cosy jumper and flats work much better.
Well I have more work to get back to, online portfolios and interviews to continue to prepare for, who knew getting into a uni was the hardest part. See you soon

I am wearing ASOS jumper and trousers and TOPSHOP trainers.

Styled with Glamour Wears... Over the Knee

So christmas is over for another year, I am still feeling full yet I am sitting here writing this slowly making my way yet through more chocolate. Thank god for shift dresses like this one here, perfect for covering up any christmas tummies. Wearing black and blue again, a bit of an undecided mixture, which I really like, mixed with my over the knee boots which have been fab this winter- I love anything you can hide an extra layer under.

I am wearing H&M polo neck, WAREHOUSE dress, NEXT boots and FIORELLI bag.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I like to dress up on christmas day not because I am doing anything special, to be honest pyjamas would probably be more practical all day, but just because this is a season where we get to fill our houses with sparkles and cheer. So this year I am going for metallics with this silver skirt which created some fabulous Marilyn moments when taking these photos.

I hope everyone has a magical christmas, filled with happiness, good food and maybe some pressies too. Lots of love and merry christmas xxx

I am wearing TOPSHOP skirt, M&S jumper, MISS SELFRIDGE shoes, DIY bag and ROYAL LONDON watch

Bonobos Winter Style Challenge

Looks for Bonobos' Winter Style Challenge. Sometimes outfit coordination between you and the man in your life is key especially as the christmas party season arrives so here I have styled looks to accompany Bonobos' new collection of mens suits. I chose two of their winter looks which to me felt like the perfect outfit for a winter or christmas party. I went for dark colours and wintery textures to compliment Bonobos' beautiful mens suits. Finished with heels and minimal accessories for a glamorous style reminiscent of Bonobos' sleek suits. I just need to convince my boyfriend to get one of their suits now...

Winter Dressing

When it's winter having go-to outfits is a must for me especially when getting changed on a cold early morning. A statement coat is perfect for this thrown over an all black outfit. The unusual colour mix makes this one so interesting but more girly style here. With ankle boots for daytime and pointed heels for evening.

Happy Sunday

Styled With Glamour Wears... The Puffa Coat

I don't know what it is but these days the sort of clothing I want to wear is the kind of thing that I would never have worn about two years ago. Puffa coats is one of those things. I never used to like them, I found them unstylish but now I totally love them. I decided to get a short puffa coat as being rather tiny I didn't want to head toward the michelin man look. I also like this one as adds a hint of colour into my looks without being too OTT. Plus totally style aside, its actually waterproof, probably the first coat I've ever bought that is...

I am wearing ASOS Ellesse puffa coat (I bought it here), TOPMAN t-shirt, ASOS trousers, DOROTHY PERKINS heels and DIY bag.

Styled With Glamour Wears... Probably Too Much Grey

I don't know what it is but I love a skirt with a slit and to be honest pleats too. This is a little DIY number I created from a skirt that was much too big for me. Just chop down one side, fold over and sew the raw edges and add a popper for a wrap around skirt. Could work with most skirts similar too.

So I will love you and leave you for now, as I am off to work, have a lovely weekend...

I am wearing TOPSHOP jumper, DIY skirt, VINTAGE bag and ASOS heels.

Styled With Glamour Wears... Subtle Textures

Bit of my favourite colour mix here of navy and black with a splash of white thrown in for good measure. In my uni project at the moment I have been looking at textures a lot, specifically boro and other Japanese textures, so I think this is translating into what I wear. I really like the texture of this top, it stops it from being plain, combined with the pleats.
See you soon...

I am wearing TOPSHOP top, DIY skirt and clutch and ZARA boots.

LFW street style

Some of my street style snapshots from wandering round Somerset House a few weeks ago. I shot quite a range of people, some I asked to pose and others are more natural to get a range and to capture the different moods of LFW. Which is your favourite shot?
