Back to Black

Jumper- Asos / Skirt- Pop Boutique / Scarf- Made myself / Boots- Primark / Sunglasses- Fenwicks / Bracelet and Earrings- Accessorize
A late night post to finish off September (it'll be christmas soon! Ahh!) and my first full month of blogging. Since the weather is getting colder I have found myself wanting to wear more and more black so yesterday I went for this full black outfit, mixing black pieces in different materials, which I wore to do some shopping. I wore the skirt on my hips and tucked in my jumper loosely for a laid back look and finished with a fur scarf and ankle boots to keep the slight chill at bay.
I brought this beautiful skirt on Thursday when I went to London for the day on a D&T trip. I went looking for inspiration around the Covent Garden area when I found Pop Boutique on Monmouth Street. It was a lovely shop full of retro and vintage finds and I managed to find this skirt and one other (to feature soon) in among the many racks of beautiful clothing. I really do recommend the shop if you are in the area!

Leopard Midi

Dress- Topshop / Cardigan- H&M / Belt- Primark / Bag- New Look / Sunglasses- Fenwicks / Shoes- Accessorize
This is the look I wore to school today, I wore this Topshop leopard print midi dress as featured in this post from last month. I paired it with this cardigan which I wore back to front, black pointed pumps and an oversized handbag. Lots of people at school were amazed at the idea of wearing a cardigan back to front but I totally love the idea of being to wear one item in so many ways and I think it makes the look so much more interesting as the detail is down the back. This is probably one of my favourite outfits at the moment I totally love midi skirts they just make me feel so glamorous and also are much warmer than mini's now autumn is here!

Stripes Obsession

Jumper- Topshop / Dress- H&M / Bag- Judy's Vintage Fair / Sunglasses- Fenwicks / Shoes- Primark

Over the past week I have had such an urge to wear something stripey so today I finally gave in and borrowed this stretchy tunic from my sister. I layered it with this Topshop jumper meaning the stripes of the tunic still showed through and it carried on the white of the tunic throughout the outfit. I got my bag from Judy's Vintage Fair when it visited my town last year and it is great I so hope it visits again! I love the structured shape and the understated elegace it has. Finally the shoes, I had to wear them again, I'm just loving toe caps! I am definately on the lookout for a monochrome pair now!

What I Wore...

Jumper- H&M / Culottes- Primark / Belt- Primark / Bag- Vintage / Shoes and bracelet and rings- Accessorize

Just a quick post of what I wore today to school. I kept the look simple wearing these Primark culottes which I absolutely love. They are so easy to wear and the midi length keeps them quite glamorous. I dressed them down today with a black jumper and accessories for a more casual look, I also like to dress them up with black courts and a silk cami. Beauty wise today I went for a messy updo, pink lips and a slick of liquid eyeliner, quick and easy to do in the morning when still half asleep. What do you all like to wear to school/ college/ uni?

Pink Florals

Dress- River Island / Shoes- Primark / Earrings and Ring- Accessorize

Birthday balloon, the birthday girl and her delicious cupcakes!

This is what I wore to my friends 17th birthday party last monday, we spent the afternoon in her garden talking, drinking mocktails, eating cake, indian food and generally enjoying the sunshine. Although it was just a small garden party we decided to use the oppurtunity to dress up so I wore this floral sundress which I bought in the River Island sale a while ago. I love the bright pattern and it was such a bargain at £15 and although it isn't suitable for winter really I make the most of it by wearing it plenty in the summer. I bought these shoes when I saw them with Primark as they go perfect with the dress and add a metallic touch to the outfit.  Although I struggled to walk in them as I am really not used to stilletos I still love them!

Peplum Fever...

Peplum Skirt- Bershka / Top- Monki / Shoes- Accessorize / Scarf- Made Myself / Sunglasses- Fenwicks / Earrings- Accessorize / Bag- Vintage

Not feeling quite ready to let summer go yet, I decided to risk bare legs on a day trip to the seaside only feeling a little cold. I also decided to step into the ever growing peplum trend with this black skirt with I wore with a black and white spotty top to create a simple relaxed look. I finished off this outfit with all black accessorizes. Although many think all black is a boring combination I love the simplisity of it and it always makes me feel glamourous. And although I do like to mix it with other colours, I also find black contrasts well with my blonde hair.
